Last December 13^th 2014, The Tashkent State University of Economics organized a Career Day (Job Fair) for graduates and students of the university, within the framework of the Tempus project UNIWORK (Strengthening Career Centres in Central Asia Higher Education Institutions to empower graduates in obtaining and creating quality employment) in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Open Joint Stock Bank “Microcredit bank”.

Representatives of more than 200 ministries and state committees, organizations and companies, as well as 1374 students (including 1072 bachelor degree students and 302 Master’s degree students graduating in 2015) participated in the event. The students and graduates actively participated in the fair, presenting their abilities to potential employers, as well as obtaining information about vacancies in the companies and organisations.

The objective of the Career Day was for organizations and companies to become acquainted with the university graduate degree students; as well as to establish contacts with organisations and companies for internships; consult with organizations and companies on demands for new disciplines and finally creating new job positions.
