32 people participated in the first UNIWORK training module organised by the Tempus project UNIWORK in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, between 9 and 10 December 2015. Participants were staff from the Career Centres of UNIWORK partner HEIs in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, as well as from the Bishkek Business Club, from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic and from the ENACTUS student association at BAFE.
Tashkent State University of Economics, Uzbekistan
Last December 13th 2014, The Tashkent State University of Economics organized a Career Day (Job Fair) for graduates and students of the university, within the framework of the Tempus project UNIWORK (Strengthening Career Centres in Central Asia Higher Education Institutions to empower graduates in obtaining and creating quality employment) in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Open Joint Stock Bank “Microcredit bank”.
The UNIWORK 2-day Study Visit in Graz/Austria took place between the 24th and 25th of March 2014. It was very important for the hosts to welcome the international guests at the FH JOANNEUM through a short speech given by Professor Dr. Karl Pfeiffer, Rector and Managing Director, as well as by Mag. Dr. Günter Riegler, Commercial Director.
The UNIWORK partners participated in a 2-day Study Visit at The University of Sheffield (TUoS), where they had the opportunity to learn first-hand the ample support that this university provides to students to enhance their employability and enterprise skills, as well as the comprehensive assistance and funding available to student entrepreneurs.
The UNIWORK Kick-off event was held at the University of Alicante (UA) on March 17th 2014, in combination with the Study Visit to the University of Alicante’s Career Centre, Gabinete de Iniciativas Para el Empleo – GIPE, on March 18th 2014.
The UNIWORK partners were welcomed to the UA by Vice Rector Juan Llopis and by Alexandra Mayr, the Deputy Director of the International Project Management Office (OGPI).
